This Monday, September 12, Florence Foresti was the guest of Yann Barthès in Daily on TMC to discuss these two works which should meet with some success. And one of the favorite actresses of the French is in particular returned to the anxious disorder mentioned in the series, a theme that touches her closely in her personal life. “I wanted to deal with anxiety disorder, anxiety disorders that I never hid from, I’ve been doing them since I was very little. I suffer from this illness (…) I wanted to talk about it because it is an illness from which many people suffer and then they often do not dare to treat themselves. You have to treat yourself otherwise you isolate yourself and you end up locked up at home. The funniest way I found to do it was to have it played by an actor. My discomfort, it is embodied by an actor“, she related.
As she says on the TMC show, this is not the first time that Florence Foresti has mentioned her anxiety attacks. She had confided bluntly in the columns of the magazine Psychologies where she revealed to have followed an analysis for more than a dozen years. “Initially, my goal was to overcome my panic attacks, I was not making a scene yet. I was working in an office as a graphic designer and I started having panic attacks that literally made it impossible for me to live. I was 20 years old. When I say that the scene saved me, it’s a bit romantic but not wrong”, she confided, explaining that the scene had served as an outlet: “I understood that playing a character was the only way to evacuate the anguish of death, the anxiety“, she had analysed.
