The Maserati GranTurismo Folgore shows its best side

The prestigious Italian manufacturer Maserati is no exception to electrification. The brand with the trident takes things in hand: by 2030, it wants to sell only electric cars. For now, one of them is already being prepared behind the scenes: the GranTurismo Folgore.

In its entirety

We were shown the design sometime ago. It is the logical continuation of the beautiful previous generation, which had a long career of around twelve years behind it. Technically, it has aged, but aesthetically, the Italians still find it quite beautiful.

In this teaser video, in which the (Italian-born) American comedian Sebastian Maniscalco is driven by Maserati along the Californian coast, we already get a few more details about the new GranTurismo Folgore. For example, the design can be seen in its entirety for the first time, although the interior and dashboard design is still largely under wraps.

Digital soundtrack

What we do know is that the Folgore will hit 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, and will continue to a top speed of 322 km/h. Fast enough to drain the battery in no time, but the Italians claim that the GranTurismo Folgore recharges quickly: in 5 minutes, it would gain 100 kilometers of autonomy. And for music lovers: of course, there is no Symphonic V8 under the hood of this Folgore, but Maserati has developed a digital soundtrack. And yes, we can already hear part of it in the video below!
