Dancing is good for your health! It’s good for morale, we think of something else, but above all, it’s movement! Dance is a practice that we can and must really support. So why is it healthy to dance Dr. Caroline ?
Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin has been heavily criticized following a video showing her dancing. Some said it was controversial behavior for a prime minister. We assumed she was on drugs. She even had to do a drug test which turned out to be negative.
Following this controversy, she replied: “I am a human being. I sometimes also long for joy, light and pleasure in the midst of these dark clouds”
Dance is a practice that we can and must really support. So why is it very healthy to dance ? Dr Caroline, referent psychiatrist in “La Grande Forme” explains why: “Dance is movementis a sporting activity, but sport is excellent for your health! In addition, it is an ultra-complete sport that mobilizes all kinds of skills: balance, muscular work of the whole body, coordination, concentration, interaction with a partner, respecting the rhythm, memorizing steps. Dancing is also about expressing yourself and releasing tension!”
